It has been awhile since I have written about a friend or the worth of someone, but I recently had lunch with a very good friend of mine. I love her to death because she has always known what is important in life. I have never questioned her standards and have looked to her as an example.
Our friendship started in college and I look forward to having her as a life long friend. I remember being impressed with her because she is the only member of the church in her family and has always had to stand up for herself. I consider her a "Woman of Christ" because she truly is trying to follow Him in every way. She waited for the right person to marry in the right place. She is now a wonderful Mommy and I had to smile when she told me she sings Primary songs to her son to help calm him down. Hopefully someday I can be a great Mom just like her!

Family Time
A few weeks ago my Uncle Wayne passed away. It was pretty hard for everyone. The plus side was having all the family together. Everyone in the Mitchell family was there minus just 6 people. The visitation was 7 hours long, which I guess is a southern thing, but there was a constant line from what I hear. Tiffany made a great slide show and there were also lots of pictures of him on display.
My heart ached mostly for my Aunt Tracy who lost her sister and husband within a few months of each other. Of course my thoughts and prayers were also with their kids Tiffany, Taylor, and Alex. Hopefully it was helpful to have all the family and friends around. The day after the visitation a short funeral was held. Brett, my brother conducted, friends and family shared thoughts, the Father's Prayer was repeated, and then my sis-in-law, Steph sang "O my Father." It was held in their yard and you could feel Uncle Wayne's presence. Afterwards the family spent the rest of the day together visiting. Below are some pics:) Sorry about the smaller ones taken from my phone, I ran out of room on my camera:(
